JOHOR BAHRU, Nov 16- Artificial intelligence (AI) technology should be fully utilized to improve the quality of life of the community and not be used for the purpose of economic gain alone, said Her Majesty the Queen Raja Zarith Sofiah.
Her Majesty who is also the Chancellor of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) said that UTM, entrusted by the country to be a leader in AI research, needs to ensure that the technology is used responsibly and ethically.
In addition to the rapidly developing AI technology, human behavior also contributes to the destruction of the world's ecosystems significantly and worryingly.
"We as an educated society must play a role in dealing with the damage to nature. It starts with a change in attitude and a sense of responsibility to preserve our world for future generations."

My congratulations," said Her Majesty when officiating the 68th UTM Convocation Ceremony at Dewan Sultan Iskandar , UTM Skudai
Raja Zarith Sofiah hopes that all parties can make the UTM Vision 2030 a successful program and put the name of the university in line with the world's leading universities.
Also attending the Convocation Ceremony was Che' Puan Mahkota Khaleeda Johor as the Pro-Chancellor of UTM.
