43 high-impact programmes to boost education in Perlis

KANGAR, August 27 - A total of 43 high-impact programmes have been implemented at the Faizuddin Centre of Educational Excellence (FCoEE), specifically involving asnaf and school students as well as students from higher education institutions.

According to FCoEE Chairman, Prof. Emeritus Datuk Dr Kamaruddin Hussin, one of the high-impact programmes carried out includes empowering the knowledge and skills in artificial intelligence (AI) and robotics fields as well as establishing strategic cooperations with five higher education centres for the development of education in Perlis.

Other programmes include tahfiz Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) with ILP Kangar, AI Summer Camp programme, Simposium Pendidikan Eksklusif Era Digitalisasi, Transformasi Intelek Pelajar Perlis (TRIPs) programme and the establishment of the AI and Robotic Educational Club (AiREd) in 8 secondary schools as pioneers.

He informed this during the Regent of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail visit to FCoEE in conjunction with Kayuhan Mega Peduli Merdeka MAIPs Programme with Perlis Department of Education.

In the effort to improve the module and problem solving as well as improving asnaf economy, FCoEE also prepared 53 research grants worth RM500,000 that can be used by researchers at public universities or any higher education institutions nationwide.
