KAJANG, Dec 7- A total of 100 volunteers from the National Anti-Drugs Agency (AADK) have been mobilised to carry out flood relief missions in Kelantan and Terengganu.
AADK Director-General, Datuk Ruslin Jusoh said the initiative is being carried out to provide support to flood-affected residents, assist in cleaning work and distribute daily necessities.
"Our mission will focus on as many areas as possible in Kelantan, especially the Pasir Mas and Tumpat districts, and also the Besut district in Terengganu," he said to reporters after flagging off #SkuadIhsanMadaniKDN participants to Kelantan and Terengganu, here today.
He added that this initiative is also in line with the wishes of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, who wants civil servants to play a role in providing assistance to those affected by the floods.
He also said more AADK members would be mobilized to carry out flood relief missions if needed in the future.
Also present were AADK Deputy Director-General (Operations), Khairul Anwar Bachok, and Director of Prevention Division, Zainuddin Abdullah.
