PUTRAJAYA, March 25- The Communications Ministry is offering the RAHMAH rebate incentive in a one-time payment to members of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), including uniformed and civilian personnel serving with the PDRM, in conjunction with the 218th Police Day.
The MADANI Government initiative is expected to benefit more than 127,000 PDRM members.
The Communications Ministry announced that PDRM members who register for a postpaid plan will enjoy a rebate in the form of a one-month's bill payment, either in April, May or June depending on the date of the rebate recipient's billing cycle.
Meanwhile, PDRM members who subscribe to prepaid packages will receive a minimum prepaid top-up of RM30 on a one-off basis and the method of distributing rebates varies according to the telecommunications service provider.
"The one-off RAHMAH rebate incentive to PDRM members is supported by telecommunications service providers CelcomDigi, Maxis, U Mobile, TM Tech, YTL Communications, Tune Talk, redONE and XOX Com", the statement read.
The incentive is in line with the MADANI Government's intention to recognise and appreciate the sacrifices of PDRM members for their commitment in carrying out their duties to safeguard the well-being of the people and the security of the country.
Further information on this incentive will be announced by the respective telecommunications service providers.
