KUALA LUMPUR, April 4- The medical and health needs of the gas fire victims in Putra Heights, Subang Jaya, who are currently at the temporary evacuation center (PPS), are guaranteed to be in optimal condition.
Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly Ahmad stated that this is to ensure that identified victims with pre-existing illnesses receive the best health care during their stay at PPS Masjid Putra Heights.
"I found that healthcare is not delayed, and we are also using MySejahtera, which provides immediate information regarding the medications needed by these victims.
"In addition, the Mental Health and Psychosocial Support Services (MHPSS) ensure emotional support and mental stability for the victims in a safe environment," he told reporters after visiting PPS Masjid Putra Heights.
Datuk Seri Dr. Dzulkefly mentioned that a total of seven staff from the district health clinic, 12 from MHPSS, and three from the district health office are providing health services at the PPS.
They also receive support from the University of Malaya Medical Center (PPUM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and the Malaysian Red Crescent Society.
As of noon today, PPS Masjid Putra Heights is accommodating a total of 379 victims from 97 families.
