BAGAN DATUK, 26 April- The unity government's strong collaboration and consensus was evident throughout the 14-day campaign for the Ayer Kuning state by-election.

According to Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, said this was evident when not only the BN machinery but also the Pakatan Harapan (PH) machinery were actively involved in campaigning for the BN candidate, Dr Mohamad Yusri Bakir.

"Throughout the campaign period, I extend my thanks not only to the component parties but also to the PH machinery for their assistance," he said.

"The cooperation during the campaign was well-executed, similar to previous by-elections in Nenggiri... in Johor," he said.

He said this to reporters after officiating the RISDA MADANI (KARRISMA) Northern Zone 2025 Carnival, here, today.

He also expressed hope voter turnout percentage would continue to increase as the afternoon progressed.

In this regard, Ahmad Zahid urged more Ayer Kuning voters to come out and vote immediately.
