BELAGA, Feb 15- A man died in a car accident on Jalan Merudum Dam Belaga last night.

The Sarawak Fire Operations Center (PGO) in a statement said the victim was identified as 44-year-old Muhie Nawan.

"An emergency call regarding the incident was received at 8.36 last night. The Belaga fire and rescue team was dispatched to the scene of the incident and upon arrival at the scene found that the accident involved a lorry loaded with logs which had fallen to the side of the road.

"The victim is believed to have been crushed by the pile of logs and an excavator was used to find the victim by moving the truck and the logs," the statement read.

The victim was handed over to the police for further action and the emergency operation ended at 11.07 pm.
