JOHOR BAHRU, March 14 - SWM Environment Sdn Bhd (SWM Environment) expects the amount of waste generated in Johor to increase by around five to 10 percent in the run-up to and during Hari Raya Aidilfitri.

SWM Environment Corporate General Manager Mohd Norlisam Mohd Nordin said that various Hari Raya Aidilfitri operational strategies will be implemented from March 30 to April 5 for 15 Local Authority (PBT) areas.

This is to ensure that collection operations run smoothly and provide comfort to residents during the celebration. The collection schedule will be brought forward by a day starting March 30 and will return to normal on April 1.

The company will also focus on 120 focus locations with a high Muslim population density such as Johor Bahru, Kulai and others.
