KUALA NERUS, OCT, 29- The Skills Development Fund Corporation (PTPK) is ready to negotiate with borrowers who are not ready to make loan repayments after six months of training at any skill center in nationwide.

PTPK has various methods to help borrowers by reorganizing their loan repayment process.

Chairman of PTPK's Board of Directors, Ts. Zahir Hassan, said borrowers should make repayments after six months of completing their studies.

However, if the borrower does not have income because he has not yet worked, he can apply for other methods such as deferring loan repayments to PTPK.

As of to date, 42 percent or almost 160,000 of the 380,000 borrowers have made their loan repayments.

"We look at the refund to PTPK, we make it as easy as possible, up to RM89 a month. We also want to make sure that the PTPK borrowers feel that there is a sense of shared responsibility," Chairman of PTPK's Board of Directors, Ts. Zahir Hassan said.

"Meaning that they borrow. They have managed to, at least to pay back, and we want to inculcate this awareness in the borrowers, so that percentage is always increasing in terms of repayment."

He was met by reporters after officiating the TVET Carnival Tour in Kuala Nerus.

A total of RM380 million is provided for PTPK's loans, this year.
