KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 - As COVID-19 remains a part of daily life, the MyPELINDUNG 2024 campaign continues to assist Malaysians in adapting to new norms while maintaining health and safety, with a focus on living safely with the virus.
Cluster Lead for Pfizer Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia and the Philippines, Deborah Seifert said MyPELINDUNG remains an essential platform for public education and engagement.
“We are committed to dispelling misconceptions, providing accurate information and helping Malaysians understand how to live safely with COVID-19,” she said during the campaign’s launch here today.
Under the theme “Lindungi Malaysia, Sihat Bersama,” the MyPELINDUNG campaign highlights the importance of continuous vigilance, prioritising vaccinations and seeking timely treatment for COVID-19, particularly for high-risk groups such as the elderly and individuals with pre-existing medical conditions.
Meanwhile. Malaysian Society of Infection Control and Infectious Diseases (MyICID) president Dr Shaharudeen Kamaludeen stressed the importance of staying up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations.
“COVID-19 is here to stay, much like other illnesses that are now part of our daily lives. However, this does not mean we should become complacent,” he said.
The MyPELINDUNG campaign is a collaborative effort involving MyICID, the National Cancer Society of Malaysia (NCSM), the Malaysian Red Crescent (MRCS), Diabetes Malaysia (DM), and Pfizer Malaysia. -BERNAMA
