RIO DE JANEIRO, 18 Nov- Malaysia and Brazil have agreed to increase cooperation in the field of education, research and development.
According to the Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, traditional thinking that is too reliant on certain countries and universities is now considered no longer relevant to the current situation.
This means that various ministries, including higher education, should consider the possibility of collaboration between universities and development research that will allow for more connections, communication and collaboration, he said.
Datuk Seri Anwar also invited Brazilian companies to explore investment opportunities in Malaysia.
He was speaking at the celebration of oil exploration from the floating production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessel Yinson Holdings Bhd Malaysia Maria Quitéria in Brazil.
Maria Quitéria has a production capacity of 100,000 barrels of oil per day (bpd) and a storage capacity of one million barrels.
