KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 18- No new conditions are imposed on elderly citizens who would like to renew their Malaysian Driving Licence (LMM).

Road Transport Department (JPJ) denied any claims regarding the viral claims on social media platforms stating the need for elderly citizens to undergo a competency and health evaluation prior to an LMM renewal.

JPJ further explains that the process of LMM renewal will abide by the existing standards of procedures (SOP) under the Road Transport Act 1987.

The public is reminded not to spread false information and to fact-check any information before sharing it with others to avoid confusion and panic.
