LABUAN, March 8 – The Gerak Rahmah, Jom Masak Bubur Perpaduan program, organized by the Department of National Unity and National Integration (JPNIN), was held simultaneously across the nation.

In Labuan, 1,500 containers of porridge were distributed to strategic partner agencies, security personnel, and places of worship in the region.

Fadzilah Mahmud, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Labuan Corporation, explained that the program was carried out through a gotong royong initiative across six zones, with each zone preparing a different type of porridge. Among the varieties were lambuk porridge, bean porridge, chacha porridge, and black glutinous rice porridge.

"This program is especially meaningful during this Ramadan, and I would like to thank the Department of National Unity and National Integration of the Federal Territory of Labuan for collaborating with us in making this initiative a success in Labuan," he said during the event, where he officiated on behalf of Labuan Corporation's Chief Executive Officer, Mohd Sukuran Taib.

Labuan JPNIN Director Jessica Basat also expressed her gratitude for the involvement of the Rukun Tetangga community, which helped distribute the six types of porridge this year. "This year, we had the opportunity to deliver porridge to Labuan Hospital and the APM operations center," she added.

The event saw the participation of over 250 community members from 37 Rukun Tetangga (KRT) Areas in Labuan.
