NAKA, Nov 26- A family in Desa KEDA Bendang Tok Teri, Naka in Padang Terap, Kedah was left homeless after the house they lived in was destroyed in a fire late yesterday evening.

Kuala Nerang Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) Chief, Assistant Fire Chief Aminuddin Mad Khozali said that they received an emergency call from the MERS 999 line at 5.12 pm.

The Kedah Operations Centre (PGO) directed machinery to the scene of the incident.

Upon arriving at the location, the fire involved a permanent house measuring 40 by 50 square feet.

They used 2 streams of 3 jets to put out the fire.

The fire destroyed 85 percent of the house structure.

Meanwhile, a Proton Wira car nearby the scene was also almost completely burned. However, no casualties were reported.

The cause and amount of damage are still under investigation.
