Developing global energy agenda focus of Final Plenary Session of Future of Energy Security Summit

LONDON, April 24- Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof, who is also the Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, participated in the Final Plenary Session at the Ministerial level to discuss the needs and actions that need to be taken to develop the global energy agenda, on the second day of the Future of Energy Security Summit, here.

The plenary session was moderated by the United Kingdom's Secretary of State for Energy Security and Net Zero, Ed Miliband, together with the Executive Director of the International Energy Agency (IEA), Dr Fatih Birol.

The outcome of the plenary will be extended beyond this conference by taking the energy security agenda discussed to the next level.

The session also focused on building togetherness in developing a comprehensive approach to energy security.

It also identified the importance of existing energy security and ensuring that participating countries have the means to address and respond to energy security challenges, in addition to coordinating and working together effectively to ensure global energy security in the long term.
