KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 26– The collaboration between Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation Berhad (SDEC) has been extended to the next phase to enhance connectivity.
This initiative aligns with Sarawak's Digital Economy Strategy and the Post-COVID-19 Development Strategy 2030.
TM One's Executive Vice President, Shazurawati Abd Karim, mentioned that the partnership includes the implementation of TM One's Metro-E solutions, which provide flexible, secure, and high-performance broadband connectivity.
Through this service, internet access will be available at 81 locations, including rural areas.
The five-year project will also deliver high-speed internet to support key sectors such as education, healthcare, and local businesses.
This facility aims to facilitate cloud computing, telemedicine, and online education.
