KUALA LUMPUR, 20 January- The MyStartup platform is seen as a strategic initiative to spark innovation through the introduction of new ideas in business, especially among start-up companies.
According to economist Dr. Ida Md Yasin, this platform is not only able to offer fresh new solutions, but has the potential to create more job opportunities.
She said that MyStartup is also able to attract new investments that can stimulate the country's economic growth.
"Start-up companies are an effective way to find and highlight new ideas in business as well as to innovate. The newly established company can bring fresh ideas that can be taken up by large companies or they can start off their own business," she said when interviewed by RTM News.
Meanwhile, Prof. Associate Dr. Mustazar Mansur said this platform also helps to drive local and international collaboration by combining ecosystem players to work together.
This includes aspects of marketing and training.
"They can take advantage of programmes that help market products abroad, as well as government initiatives that provide relevant support and training," he said.
Previously, the Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) targeted the registration of 5,000 new start-up companies by the end of this year.
So far, a total of 4,415 companies have registered, in line with the SUPER Plan 2021-2030.
