KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 14- The Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) 2024 Indoor Badminton Championship, which is now in its third edition, is a platform to empower staff involvement in healthy lifestyle practices, especially through sports activities.

RTM Technical Services Division Director, Ismail Sulaiman said the organization of the tournament not only supports healthy activities, but also strengthens the bond between RTM staff at Angkasapuri and the states.

"The most important thing is to strengthen the bond between staff in Angkasapuri and the states. With this sports event, we can meet, socialize and get to know each other," he said when met after the RTM 2024 Indoor Badminton Championship Opening Ceremony at the RTM Recreation Center, Angkasapuri Kota Media, here today.

The two-day tournament involved the participation of 38 male teams and 16 female teams, highlighted the spirit of sportsmanship and friendship among the participants.

Ismail also informed that the RTM Recreational Sports Club plans to organize more sports events in the future.

"In the future, the recreational sports club also plans to organize other sports, such as bowling. We will also continue organizing more badminton tournaments in the future," he added.

The tournament is expected to be an annual event that can foster cooperation and well-being of RTM staff nationwide.
