Sultan of Selangor graces two new landmarks in Bandar Elmina

SUNGAI BULOH, Jan 11- Sultan of Selangor, Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah Al Haj, today inaugurated two new landmarks in Bandar Elmina, namely the Elmina Lakeside Mall and the Elmina Outdoor Sculpture Museum.

Tengku Permaisuri of Selangor, Tengku Permaisuri Norashikin was also present, accompanying His Majesty.

The Royal Highnesses' arrival was greeted by Selangor Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Amirudin Shari and Sime Darby Property Group Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Datuk Seri Azmir Merican.

At the event, Sultan Sharafuddin officiated the launch and signed a plaque to symbolise the landmarks' opening.

Sultan Sharafuddin and Tengku Norashikin also spent nearly three hours visiting the museum and several shops in the lakeside mall.

The museum showcases local contemporary art with elements of artistic expression, sustainability, and innovative urban design.

The Elmina Lakeside Mall is currently operating with an occupancy rate of 99 percent and is expected to become the main retail hub for over 870,000 residents in the surrounding area.

The ceremony was also attended by State Government Excos including Investment, Trade and Mobility Exco Ng Sze Han and Rural Development, Unity and Consumer Exco Datuk Rizam Ismail.
