KUALA LUMPUR, April 23 - The wall of an international school in Lorong Datuk Sulaiman 2, Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) here collapsed, believed to have been caused by a landslide this morning.
PBK II Operations Commander, Azkhan Hamdan, in a statement announced that the Kuala Lumpur Operations Centre received an emergency call regarding the incident via the MERS999 system at 7.18 am.
"Operations teams from the TTDI Fire and Rescue Station (BBP), Sri Hartamas BBP along with two Fire Rescue Tender (FRT) vehicles, an Emergency Response Service (EMRS) Unit with a strength of 15 members of other ranks as 'first responders' to deal with the emergency incident.
"Operations by members are 'size-up' to ensure the area is in a safe condition," according to the statement.
The incident involved two vehicles and part of the school building including classrooms, teachers' rooms, toilets and the library.
However, the matter was handed to the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) for further action.
However, no individuals were involved in the incident and the operation was successfully brought under full control at approximately 7.55 am.
