KANGAR, April 13 - The Federal Village Development and Security Committee (JPKKP) in Perlis continues to play an active role in assisting the local community and serving as a liaison between the government and residents.
Through the JPKKP, various local issues related to security, welfare and economic development as well as the implementation of joint programmes become everyone's priorities.
According to the Chairman of JPKKP Kampung Abi who is also the Chairman of the Nakawan Range MADANI Community, Amy Rodzi, since January 2024 until now more than 30 programmes with the local community have been implemented to bolster the spirit of consensus and strengthen unity between local communities as well as to improve the local economy.
This includes the SejaTi MADANI Initiative through the creation of a Frozen and Dried Food Collection Center as well as a cafe with the Kampung Abi entrepreneurial community, Kampung Abi open kite competition, ziarah kasih programmemes, special programs in conjunction with Aidilfitri and Aidiladha as well as various other programmes.
"Alhamdulillah, during our programme in Kampung Abi, the response from the local residents and also the community in DUN Bintong was very encouraging and it can be said that we have received full support from the local community," said Amy.
She was speaking at the Nakawan Range Madani Community Aidilfitri Celebration Programme in Kampung Abi which was attended by more than 500 local residents with a variety of dishes being served as well as the duit raya handouts and a fireworks display.
With the strong support of committee members, local leadership and related agencies, every problem can be resolved and the implementation of various programmes also serves as a catalyst to bring the local community closer together as one big family at the village level.
