KANGAR, 26 April- Perlis will close out the vibrant MADANI 2025 Aidilfitri Celebration with Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, tomorrow.
Taking place at Dataran Lok 9, Kuala Perlis, the program is expected to be lively with the attendance of over 10,000 visitors from various races and backgrounds.
Perlis Federal Development Office director Maznah Musa said the celebration in Perlis is special and different as it is being held in conjunction with the Silver Jubilee celebration marking the 25th year of the reign of the Raja of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin Jamalullail.
His Royal Highness and the Raja Perempuan of Perlis, Tuanku Tengku Fauziah Almarhum Tengku Abdul Rashid will grace the MADANI Aidilfitri celebration.
More than 50 types of dishes, including 'nasi gulai kawah', which will be cooked together in a gotong-royong style by FELDA settlers, will be served to visitors starting from 3:00 PM until 6:30 PM.
"Initially, we targeted an attendance of around 10,000 people, but based on the response received, we anticipate that the number of visitors at the program in Perlis will exceed our target. Nevertheless, we remain prepared to manage a larger turnout, even if it's slightly more," she said after being a guest on the Perlisfm radio show, here.
For the convenience of visitors, the main parking area is provided adjacent to the event grounds at Dataran Lok 9, while additional parking is also available at the Perlis branch of the Malaysian Handicraft Office and the Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail Mosque.
Shuttle bus services will also be provided from both parking locations.
Themed 'Kindness Touches the Soul, Tolerance Unites the Nation', this celebration is not just about celebrating Aidilfitri, but also serves as a platform to strengthen the harmony and unity of Malaysia's multiracial population.
The MADANI 2025 Aidilfitri Celebration began in Melaka on 5 April, before continuing to Pahang, Kelantan, Penang, Sarawak, and Perak, and will conclude in Perlis tomorrow.
