PASIR PUTEH, 31 July - Department of Information (Japen) in Kelantan will implement more than 200 programmes with elements of patriotism in the state to enliven the National Day and Malaysia Day celebrations this year.
Director Muhd Nor Aswadi Md Nor said, the programmes will be implemented at all levels of institutions and communities to ensure that the programme has a holistic impact and is widely disseminated throughout the state.
"During this national month, first of all, we are having the Kembara Merdeka Jalur Gemilang (KMJG) 2024. Secondly, there are 135 programmes in each MADANI community which we call the soul of the MADANI@merdeka community. Each respective MADANI community will show love for our country.
"And to make the Jalur Gemilang flying campaign a success, even at the school level, we have mobilized 81 Malaysiaku clubs in schools in order to immmerse ourselves in the flying Jalur Gemilang campagin" said Aswadi.
He said this to reporters at the launching ceremony of 2024 National Month and Flying the Jalur Gemilang and the handing over of the Jalur Gemilang to the KMJG Kelantan Convoy from the Terengganu Convoy at Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Station, Kelantan.
He said that a total of 67 vehicles of various models were directly involved in the KMJG convoy in Kelantan including government departments, private sector and non-governmental organizations (NGOs).
Kelantan is the seventh state for the KMJG 2024 convoy to visit and the journey will last for two days (until tomorrow) involving five districts namely, Pasir Puteh, Bachok, Kota Bharu, Machang and finally Kuala Krai where the Jalur Gemilang will be handed over to the convoy in Kedah.
Furthermore, Muhd Nor Aswadi called on all residents in the state to express their love for the country by waving the Jalur Gemilang in suitable locations.
