SUBANG JAYA, April 5 - His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, visted the location of the gas pipeline fire in Putra Heights.
His Majesty arrived at 9.40 am; accompanied by the Raja Muda of Selangor, Tengku Amir Shah Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah and the Menteri Besar of Selangor, Datuk Seri Amirudin Shaari.
Also present were Chief Secretary to the Government Tan Sri Shamsul Azri Abu Bakar, Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay and President and Chief Executive Officer of Petronas Group Tan Sri Tengku Muhammad Taufik Tengku Aziz.
Upon arrival, Sultan Ibrahim was presented a briefing on the incident before departing to inspect the scene of the incident.
His Majesty agreed to spend about 40 minutes at the scene of the incident before departing to the temporary evacuation centre (PPS) of the Putra Heights Mosque to pay his respects to the fire victims.
Today is the fifth day after the gas pipeline blaze that occurred on Tuesday.
Security control at the incident location remains the main focus of law enforcement agencies to ensure the safety of residents and media personnel.
