JOHOR BAHRU, Dec 20- Several prominent locations across Johor Bahru are set to be transformed with vibrant mural paintings, aimed at enhancing the city's appeal as a visual art destination, for both local and international tourists.
State Unity, Heritage and Culture Committee Chairman K. Raven Kumar said that the murals, which reflect Johor’s unique identity and cultural heritage, are being created through a collaboration between Tourism Johor and the Johor Bahru City Council (MBJB).
“We are now in the process of identifying three additional locations in the city, which will also be enhanced with murals,” he said.
“The murals will showcase Johor’s rich culture, cuisine, and identity. Discussions with MBJB are ongoing to finalise these locations, and the mural artists are all talented locals from Johor,” he said during a press conference after visiting the mural site, at Jalan Tan Hook Nie, today.
He also urged all parties to collaborate in maintaining the beauty and vibrancy of the city, to prevent any incidents of vandalism.
