KUALA LUMPUR, April 16- The Malaysian Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) was announced as the recipient of the ‘Public Service Resilience Champion 2025’ award for successfully implementing digital transformation for the review of the results of the Quran and Fardhu Ain Class Assessment Test, or UPKK, via the AWS Cloud platform.

In a statement on social media, JAKIM said that with more than 240,000 candidates accessing results in real time, the system remained stable despite receiving high traffic.

“Among the main achievements of this initiative include reducing system response time by up to 80 percent, increasing the level of data security and saving operating costs in the long term,” the statement read.

The digital transformation was implemented based on the principle of ‘JAKIM for the Ummah’, which expresses the department’s commitment in empowering quality, efficient and high-impact services for the benefit of the people and the ummah.
