KUALA LUMPUR, January 16- Malaysia values its close relations with Saudi Arabia, especially in Islamic matters.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs), Datuk Dr. Mohd Naim Mokhtar said Saudi Arabia is the first country to establish cooperation through a memorandum of understanding on Islamic matters.
Through Islamic Development Department (JAKIM) and Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance , the programmes and activities in the Saudi-Malaysian Coordination Council memorandum 2024- 2026 are currently in the implementation phase.
Early, he paid a courtesy visit to Sheikh Dr. Abdul Latif Abdul Aziz Al Sheikh, Minister of Islamic Affairs, Da'wah and Guidance of Saudi Arabia in Jeddah.
