PADANG BESAR, August 19 - A total of 200 participants made a success of the Merdeka Motorcycle Adventure Convoy around Padang Besar, in order to ignite the patriotic spirit among young people.

The programme organised by KEMAS Padang Besar follows a 50-kilometer route, starting at the KEMAS Activity Center in Alor Tampang and ending at the As Sobirin Mosque, Kampung Gial, also stopping at several villages along the route with various Jalur Gemilang flag-waving activities with the residents.

According to the Chairman of the Padang Besar KEMAS Activities Committee, Ruzaini Rais, the involvement of young people in this Independence programme is a proactive approach implemented by KEMAS to invigorate patriotic spirit, especially among rural communities.

In line with the National Day theme which is MADANI Malaysia: Jiwa Merdeka, the KEMAS programme has been able to educate and apply the values ​​of patriotism, in order to foster a spirit of love for the country and willingness to sacrifice to defend the country's independence.

He announced this at the Closing Ceremony of the KEMAS Merdeka Adventure Convoy in Padang Besar at As Sobirin Mosque, Kampung Gial.

In total, more than 500 local residents participated in making this programme a success as part of the activities in conjunction with the 67th National Day Celebration which will be celebrated at the end of this month.
