SEREMBAN, Oct 27- A total of 16 participants from home and abroad, along with 60 amateur participants, participated in the 'Waris Fight Night International Challenge' 2024 competition, which was organized for the first time by the Negeri Sembilan Muay Thai Association.

The deputy president of the association, Mohd Faizal Mohd Hanif said the organization of the event aimed to develop the sport of Muay Thai in Negeri Sembilan by involving athletes from various countries.

"Our hope is that Muay Thai continues to grow in Negeri Sembilan, and progress to the Olympic level," He told reporters after the event, here, "We plan to make this event an annual event for the people of this state."

According to Mohd Faizal, the Negeri Sembilan Muay Thai Association will hold a trainer and referee course for those interested in the sport, in addition to unearthing new talent in Muay Thai.
