KUALA PERLIS, April 22 - Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin International Islamic University (UniSIRAJ) will introduce a new programme related to the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in line with the state government's policy over the next five years.

The implementation of the new programme is in line with the current needs of the job market, thus producing graduates who are in line with the vision of the Raja Muda Perlis Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail as the Chancellor of UniSIRAJ.

According to UniSIRAJ Rector Professor Dr Muhamad Rozaimi Ramle, UniSIRAJ currently has 28 programmes; including Doctor of Philosophy in Al-Quran and Al-Sunnah Languages, Master of Islamic Studies, Bachelor of International Business and Bachelor of Business Administration in addition to Foundations of Islamic Studies and Diploma in Sharia.

UniSIRAJ also recorded an increase in admissions to more than 600 students for this year's intake session compared to the target of 550 last year.

"Despite facing facility constraints, UniSIRAJ will control admissions and continue to strive to improve facilities for student comfort and aim to obtain at least a three-star rating for the Malaysia Research Assessment (MYRA) in the near future as an effort to improve the university's excellence," said Dr Rozaimi.

He stated this at the UniSIRAJ Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration Ceremony at the UniSIRAJ Kuala Perlis Campus Student Square which was officiated by the Raja Muda of Perlis, Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail as the Chancellor of UniSIRAJ.

More than 1,000 UniSIRAJ residents enlivened the Hari Raya Aidilfitri Celebration Ceremony which took place in an atmosphere full of joy and celebration.
