JOHOR BAHRU, Dec 26- Two men died after their car collided with a 10-tonne lorry at Jalan Pontian Lama, Skudai, Johor Bahru, early this morning.

The victims were identified as R. Ganesh and S. Parani Kumar, both aged 43 years old, and were confirmed dead at the scene.

The Chief of the Skudai Fire and Rescue Station, Senior Assistant Fire Superintendent Saifulbahri Safardi, in a statement, said that one of the victims was rescued with the help of the public while the driver of the car was extricated by the Operations Extraction Team after the victim was trapped inside the vehicle.

As for the lorry driver, aged 36, he was reported to be safe.

The bodies of both victims have been handed over to the police for further action.
