BUKIT MERTAJAM, Jan 4- The Magistrate's Court here issued a three-day remand order against a teenage girl starting today to assist in investigations.

Magistrate Nurul Ainna Ahmad ordered the 14-year-old teenager, who is no longer in school, be remanded from today until Monday.

The remand order was issued to enable the police to conduct an investigation under Section 324 of the Penal Code.

Yesterday, the teenager was arrested by the police after stabbing her aunt in the stomach with a knife in an incident at Blok E2 Flat Taman Teluk Indah, Perai.

Previously, the media reported that Seberang Perai Tengah District Police Chief ACP Helmi Aris received information about a 35-year-old woman being stabbed in the abdomen by her teenage niece at 11.30 am yesterday.
