IPOH, Oct 25- The road safety advocacy program will continue to be expanded to schools and Institutes of Higher Education (IPT) across the country in an effort to reduce the rate of accidents involving students.
Director of the Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Department (JSPT), Datuk Seri Mohd Yusri Hassan Basri said as of now, the help of parents was also needed to monitor their children's movements.
"I hope to also get a closer and effective cooperation from guardians and parents in monitoring and knowing about their children's activities and movements when using the motorcycle", he said after being a guest on Exclusive@ Perakfm program at RTM Perak.
Commenting on JSPT's preparations ahead of Deepavali, Mohd Yusri Hassan said that as in previous years, operations in conjunction with the festival will be launched to reduce traffic congestion.
