PUTRAJAYA, August 22 -Her Majesty, The Queen of Malaysia, Raja Zarith Sofiah today graced the inauguration of the Royal Floria Putrajaya 2024.

Her Majesty was welcomed upon arrival by the Prime Minister's wife, Datuk Seri Dr. Wan Azizah Wan Ismail and Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Federal Territory) Dr. Zaliha Mustafa.

At the event, Raja Zarith Sofiahwas presented with a new orchid hybrid of the Vanda species, named ‘Vandachostylis Queen Zarith Sofiah,' as a memento from the Putrajaya Corporation (PPj).

The 13th edition of Royal Floria Putrajaya, organised by the Putrajaya Corporation (PPj) with the support of the Federal Territories Departme, themed "Celebrate Together" is open to visitors from today until September 1.

Petunia flowers were chosen as the theme of the Royal Floria Putrajaya 2024 because of the unique growth structure, and the beauty of its cascading, colourful petals, which add aesthetic elements that brighten and cheer up visitors.

The organisation of the Royal Floria also contributed to the manifestation of the CHASE City (clean, healthy, advanced, safe and eco-friendly city) model, especially in Putrajaya.
