KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 7- The proposal to increase the quota of Quran and Fardu Ain (KAFA) teachers by 1,500 people in the 2025 Budget reflects the government's seriousness in improving Islamic education in the country.
Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Mohd Na'im Mokhtar said the measure was also to overcome the shortage of KAFA teachers.
As well as increase in the number of students and the opening of classes for Students with Special Educational Needs.
He said this during the Ministers’ Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat.
He was responding to a question from Jerai MP Sabri Azit.
