KUALA LUMPUR, April 16- A total of 228 people from 75 families have been affected by floods in Sabah as of 6.00 am this morning.
This number has not changed compared to 12.00 midnight last night.
According to the National Disaster Control Centre (NDCC) Disaster Portal, under the National Disaster Management Agency (NADMA), the floods in Sabah involve the districts of Beaufort and Keningau.
"In Beaufort, 152 people from 54 families are affected by the floods. One temporary evacuation center (PPS) has been opened in that district.
"Meanwhile, in Keningau, 76 people from 21 families are involved in the floods. Only one PPS has been opened in that district," the statement said.
In addition to Sabah, Johor has also been hit by floods.
A total of 56 people from 17 families remain affected by the floods in that state.
This only involves the Segamat district, with two PPS opened in the affected area.
