ALOR SETAR, Nov 8- A total of 2,000 packs of 'HeroMeals' have been distributed to the Malaysian Civil Defense Force (APM) in Baling, Kota Setar, Pendang, Padang Terap and Sik districts in Kedah as well as to the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department in Kedah.
Yayasan Sultanah Bahiyyah (YSB) in a statement said, it is in preparation for the Northeast Monsoon (MTL).
"The donation is the result of collaboration between the non-governmental organisation (NGO) and its strategic partner, Kembara Kitchen Sdn Bhd, which has expertise in catering services and the preparation of 'retort-ready to eat' food," said YSB.
YSB said it was entrusted to distribute the food packs to agencies and front-line workers involved in disaster management and humanitarian services.
Among the menus being served are spaghetti bolognese, basmathi rice, nasi Arab, nasi lemak with side dishes.
YSB hopes that the food and drink donation will be able, to some extent, help the welfare of the disaster workers who are mostly volunteers, in times of emergencies or urgent situations while being out in the field.
