KULAI, Jan 11- A 21-year-old man died after the motorcycle he was riding crashed into a car driven by a Bangladeshi at Kilometer 21.7 of the North-South Highway (southbound) at 11.45 last night.
Kulai District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Tan Seng Lee said in a statement that preliminary investigations found that the car driven by the 26-year-old foreigner lost control, before skidding and hitting the barricade on the left side of the road.
The incident caused the victim's motorcycle to crash into the rear end of the car, as he was unable to avoid it in time.
The victim suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The victim's body was sent to the Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital here for an autopsy while the driver of the car only suffered minor injuries.
"People who have information related to the accident can contact the investigating officer of the case, Inspector Ahmad Safuan Abu Naim at 017-7573507 or come to the Investigation and Traffic Enforcement Division of the Kulai District Police Headquarters," the statement read.
Lee added that the case was investigated in accordance with Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987.
