JOHOR BAHRU, Oct 28- Johor is believed to become the best investment centre in the region when it managed to attract investments worth RM360 million to support the development of data centers while boosting the industry's supply chain ecosystem.
A world-leading company, GDS International invested RM14.33 billion through two data centers in Nusajaya Tech Park and Kempas Tech Park, Johor Bahru.
According to its Menteri Besar Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi five large companies are also developing the digital sector in the state, thereby opening up 700 job opportunities for the people of Johor.
He said this after completing the GDS International Data Center Supply Chain Ecosystem Summit in Johor Bahru.
Johor is also committed to providing sufficient and quality skilled workforce through the establishment of the Johor Talent Development Council (JTDC) which will be launched by the Deputy Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, on November, 3.
