PUTRAJAYA, 28 Dec- The Inland Revenue Board (IRB) announced today that it has appointed 26 social media influencers and celebrities as strategic partners to produce content aimed at raising awareness, education and taxation responsibility for the country.
According to IRB, the influencers appointed as Strategic Partners of HASiL (RASH) 2.0 come from various fields and backgrounds, including entrepreneurship, religion, acting, medicine, fashion and lifestyle, fitness and health and financial management.
"Their appointment is seen as a fresh perspective in forming a good perception among the general public, especially the fans and followers of RASH 2.0 through positive content coverage, especially those involving the IRB," the IRB statement read.
In the meantime, IRB Chief Executive Officer Datuk Dr Abu Tariq Jamaluddin in the same statement said the appointment of celebrities and influencers in the taxation ecosystem is important to shape positive sentiments, build trust and credibility and subsequently create a responsible society.
"The factors of visibility and reach are important assets of these influencers who are seen to be able to double the IRB's efforts in spreading tax awareness and education to the community and increasing further the patriotic spirit and responsibility to the country," he said.
