MEKAH, May 3 - The Hajj Operations Media Team for 1446 Hijrah is committed to providing comprehensive coverage and delivering relevant and authentic information to the community, especially Malaysian pilgrims in the Holy Land.

Tabung Haji Media Operations Director, Mohamad Naser Jaafar stressed that the role of the media is very important in ensuring that pilgrims obtain accurate and up-to-date information throughout the hajj season.

"This year's coverage will cover aspects of worship, health, safety and current developments of the hajj pilgrims. Content will be distributed through mainstream media platforms and social media such as television news, articles, videos, interviews, live streams, infographics and live broadcasts on social media," he said in a press conference held at Tabung Haji Headquarters, here.

He also advised the public, especially pilgrims, to only refer to Tabung Haji's official media sources to obtain the latest information on the hajj pilgrimage. This step is important to avoid the spread of unverified information that can cause confusion among the community.

Meanwhile, a total of 19 hajj officials, including 14 Tabung Haji media practitioners, have completed their Umrah pilgrimage upon arrival in Mecca.
