KOTA TINGGI, Nov 6- The search and rescue operation for a fisherman in Kota Tinggi, Johor since November 3, ended after the discovery of a body floating in the Sedili Besar River yesterday.
The body of the 25-year-old victim was found, about 7 kilometers from the scene of the incident.
Kota Tinggi District Police Chief, Superintendent Yusof Othman in his statement said that the family of the victim who was at the location made an identification, before the body was taken to the Kota Tinggi Hospital for an autopsy.
Since he was reported missing on the evening of November 3, rescue teams involving the Police, Fire and Rescue Department, Maritime and villagers have carried out a search and rescue operation.
The Water Rescue Diving Team (PPDA) as well as the K9 tracking dog unit were mobilized for the operation.
In the incident, the victim reportedly fell into the river after the boat was boarded and capsized.
