TANJUNG MALIM, December 13 – Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) has appointed Yayasan Perak Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Nasreen Khanum Nawab Zadah Khan, as its Adjunct Professor for a period of two years beginning December 1 to December 30, 2026.
Its Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Datuk Dr. Md Amin Md Taff, said the appointment was based on Dr. Nasreen's extensive experience and expertise in government and strategic administration.
"This appointment is part of UPSI's efforts in the field of education and human capital development. With this appointment, Dr. Nasreen Khanum will share her experience and expertise through the Faculty of Management and Economics (FPE), thus helping UPSI achieve its aspiration to become a premier educational university," he said in a statement.
Dr. Nasreen began serving at Yayasan Perak in November 2023, having previously held important positions such as Chief Assistant District Officer at the Kerian Land and District Office, Head of Academics at the National Institute of Public Administration (INTAN), and Assistant Deputy President at the Malaysian Innovation Agency.
"With this appointment, it is also hoped that it will promote integration between academics and professionals, as well as strengthen cooperation between UPSI and the industry and external institutions.
"We are confident that Dr. Nasreen Khanum is able to bring new ideas that are beneficial in teaching, learning, and academic development of the university," he added.
UPSI's Faculty of Management and Economics also offers various non-educational study programs such as Bachelor's Degrees in Economics, Accounting, and Human Resource Management at its Sultan Azlan Shah Campus, Proton City.
