PUTRAJAYA, April 25- The Ministry of Women, Family and Community Development (KPWKM) continues to focus fully on the welfare of the victims of the Putra Heights incident while they are at the temporary evacuation center (PPS), coordinating assistance based on the needs requested.

This was conveyed by the Minister of Women, Family and Community Development, Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.

"There are those who have requested mobile phones, which may seem a bit complicated, but we still consider and fulfill this request as it is assessed for personal use, especially if it involves an autistic child.

"We also provide air purifiers based on health needs. There are also specific needs for women, such as new mothers, which we also fulfill," she said.

She made these remarks after the launch of the monthly gathering of KPWKM and the celebration of Hari Raya Aidilfitri here today.

Meanwhile, Nancy expressed her congratulations to all KPWKM staff and the agencies under it for their contributions.

According to her, among the main achievements of KPWKM include prompt action in addressing the Putra Heights tragedy, the success of the Department of Social Welfare (JKM) in winning four awards in Geneva, and Malaysia's appointment to the United Nations (UN) Commission on Population and Development (CPD) for the 2026–2030 term.

"I would like to congratulate all KPWKM staff and the agencies under it for all the initiatives that have been successfully implemented so far. Continue this excellence; we are the drivers of the nation's social development," she said.
