ALOR SETAR, March 29 - The Sultan of Kedah, Sultan Sallehuddin Sultan Badlishah attended the Kedah Darul Aman State-level Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for the year 2025M/1446H, at the Zahir Mosque, Alor Setar, last night.

His Majesty was welcomed upon his arrival by Kedah Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Muhammad Sanusi Md Nor.

Also attending the ceremony were the Raja Muda of Kedah Tengku Sarafudin Badlishah Sultan Sallehuddin and the Crown Prince of Kedah Tunku Shazuddin Ariff Sultan Sallehuddin.

His Majesty and the Kedah Royal Family then performed the Isyak and Tarawih prayers with the congregation in attendance, followed by the Khatam Al-Quran ceremony.

The programme aims to strengthen the spirit of love for the Al-Quran and foster public awareness of the importance of reading and understanding the holy book.

It is hoped that the Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony will continue to foster the spirit of appreciation of the Al-Quran among the community and serve as a platform to strengthen Islamic identity in daily life.
