PUTRAJAYA, April 20 - The Saudi Arabian government has mandated all pilgrims from around the world, including Malaysia, to apply for hajj permits through the platform, Nusuk, which is integrated with the integrated “Permit Platform” for the issuance of official permits.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Religious Affairs) Datuk Dr. Mohd Na’im Mokhtar said the decision was implemented to ensure that the implementation of hajj is carried out systematically, orderly and in accordance with the regulations set by the Saudi Arabian authorities.
“Every country has its regulations and like most countries and I personally know that the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah is an expert in information technology. Nusuk was introduced so that hajj management would be more effective, efficient and centralised. Hence the reason for it to be introduced earlier,” said Dr. Naim.
He was met after the inauguration of the Federal Territory-level Perdana Hajj Course held at the Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Mosque, here.
The Nusuk platform was introduced to facilitate the management of various Hajj and Umrah requirements, including permit applications, scheduling worship times at specific locations, and coordinating logistics to ensure the smooth flow of pilgrims in the Holy Land.
He also informed that the initiative also aims to improve the efficiency of Hajj management in addition to providing a smoother and more organized worship experience for pilgrims.
In this regard, Malaysian authorities advise that all pilgrims comply with the regulations and use the official channels provided through the Nusuk platform to avoid any difficulties throughout the Hajj season.
The Tabung Haji Board (TH) has organized 22 sessions of the Kursus Perdana Hajj (KPH) nationwide starting April 11 to May 4.
Prospective pilgrims are also advised to maintain high morals and discipline throughout their stay in the Holy Land, in addition to emphasizing the importance of spiritual, physical and mental preparation for the smooth flow of worship.
