KUCHING, Jan 26- The flood situation in Sarawak remains unchanged with one temporary relief center (PPS) still operating in Tatau district, Bintulu, according to the latest report from the Sarawak Disaster Committee Secretariat.

The PPS at Rumah Steven in Tatau District houses 33 residents from 13 families, who are affected by the floods that hit the area surrounding Sekolah Kebangsaan Kuala Muput in the district since last Thursday.

The committee also helped providing dry food for 165 flood-affected residents in Bintulu district through the Malaysian Civil Defense Force, the Social Welfare Department, the Bintulu District Office and the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department.

The distribution of aid involved residents from four longhouses, namely Rh Alam, Rh Nyaing, Rh Jeffry Giri and Rh Awang Inban.
