KUALA LUMPUR, 22 February- Rapid Rail Sdn Bhd (Rapid Rail) as the operator of the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line service has confirmed that a passenger fell onto the track at Titiwangsa Light Rail Transit (LRT) Station this morning.
According to Rapid Rail, it has deactivated the power supply at the station to make way for the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) as well as health workers to carry out their rescue work.
"Following the incident, there were no train services at PWTC, Titiwangsa, Sentul and Sentul Timur stations for a while.
"Alternative rail services, including free intermediate bus services have been activated to support operations.
"Users who need assistance can refer to the station personnel and auxiliary police at the respective stations," the statement read.
Rapid Rail added that any latest developments will be updated through Rapid KL's social media page and announcements at the stations.
Rapid Rail will work with the authorities to investigate the incident and will ensure that the Ampang/Sri Petaling Line services return to normal as soon as possible.
