KUALA LUMPUR, January 28 - The continuous rain warning in two states is expected to last until this Thursday (January 30).
The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) in a statement informed that the states involved are Sarawak which is expected to receive continuous rain until Thursday, while Sabah will experience this phenomena until Wednesday (January 29).
"In Sarawak, continuous heavy rain at a bad level is expected to occur in the areas of Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Tatau and Bintulu) and Miri (Subis and Miri) until Thursday."
"While Kapit, Bintulu (Sebauh) and Miri (Beluru and Marudi) are forecast to receive continuous rain at alert level," according to MetMalaysia.
The affected areas in Sabah include the West Coast (Ranau and Kota Belud), Tawau (Lahad Datu), Sandakan (Telupid, Kinabatangan, Beluran and Sandakan) and Kudat are expected to receive continuous rain at alert level until Wednesday.
