SUBANG JAYA, APRIL 4 – About 30 pets belonging to Putra Heights residents who were affected by the gas pipe leak incident have so far been successfully rescued.
Chairman of the Stray Animal Association of Malaysia (SAFM), Kalaivanan, said the rescue operation also involved free treatment until Sunday.
"On the first day, 12 cats, two snakes and a dog were successfully rescued. On the second day, 13 cats and three dogs were found," he said when met by RTM.
He added that so far more than 200 reports have been received regarding missing pets.
This operation was carried out as a result of collaboration between SAFM and the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA).
